Just an okay movie compared to the other Bill and Ted movies. This one seemed to be as though it was written by a music student or musician who was trying (too hard) to push their passion and belief that music can solve all problems. I'm sure if the movie was about an artist who paints or a scientist it would have reflected their leanings too. Would recommend waiting til the price comes down or getting a bunch of people together to split the cost and watch the movie together.

If you liked the old Bill and Ted, go see it.
Second: I might understand why it didn't hit the same. Remember when B&T were fresh faced, optimistic, stupid but absolutely stoked kids? They are not anymore but they're trying. Because after attempting "the song" over and over for 30 years, they're discouraged. And *old. But thats why it's important to watch their journey in this movie. They're refreshed by the end. They're happy they can do right by all the people who believed in them and moved that their daughters are the new legacy. And for that- it was a good movie.

The first Bill & Ted move became a classic and shaped a whole generation; partially because of its goofy cute fuzziness but also because it captured the essence of optimism and dynamism that was t he 80's. The second movie was, well, not good. So I was sort of hoping that it would end there.
But then, like Frankenstein, someone could not let this concept stay dead. They had to revive it. Watching Keanu go back to the goofy moronic character which had jump started his career after having seen him evolve as an actor was nothing short of painful. The plot of "Bill and Ted Face the Music" felt strained and silly. Perhaps because it doesn't fit as well into the era of the 2020's as it did in 1989; the cuteness and fuzziness that it had in -89 is gone. Now it's just goofy. Sure there were some funny moments but it just can't make up for the fact that this franchise should have stayed locked away in a filing cabinet.
